Antilice Protection

Anti-lice include a range of products that work either preventively or curatively in cases of infection.

The lice are tiny insects of size 0.5 to 3mm, visible to the naked eye. They live on the scalp. The first and main symptom is severe itching. They are transported only after contact with people who have already had lice. The most common outbreaks occur mainly in young children and in their surroundings.

Prevention

The majority of preventive anti-lice are herbal lotions containing essential oils with insect repellent. They apply to the entire length of the hair and are skin-friendly. They need to be used daily to be effective, they have a pleasant aroma of herbs while not oiling their hair. Available in spray or lotion form for ease of use. Protection time is up to 6-7 hours from application.

Treatment

There is a wide variety of antifouling products in various forms, such as shampoo, spray, foam or mousse. The older generation of antifungals contained insecticides. The younger generation of antifungals, are of natural origin and cause suffocation in the louse stub and nits. Its mechanism of action is mechanical as they enter the respiratory system of the louse and lead to its destruction.

Their action time ranges from 10 minutes to 1 hour. It is necessary to remove the dead lice and nits with the special brush. As the nail life cycle is 7 days, treatment should be repeated within 7-8 days.

The superiority of the new generation of antifungals lies in being more skin-friendly and environmentally friendly while lice do not develop resistance to action.

Precautions for use:

Attention should be paid to the suitability of anti-lice products according to the age of the child. They are not recommended for infants under 2 years of age without the consent of the pediatrician.
