What is PABA?

PABA (Para-aminobenzoic acid) is a cofactor of B vitamins and part of the structure of folic acid. Its dietary sources are brewer's yeast, liver, wheat and whole grains.

 

What are its properties?

Studies have shown that it can help maintain the normal structure and appearance of hair and nails, as well as skin health and elasticity.  Also, it contributes to the balancing of the intestinal flora.

 

Recommended Daily Intake

There is no recommended daily intake for RABA.

 

Precautions for use/interactions:

Overdose of PABA may cause nausea, anorexia and skin irritations. Do not take at the same time as antibiotics. There are no studies on its supplemental intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding and therefore it should be avoided.
