Terra Nova Folate 400 mcg Methylfolate Complex is a dietary supplement that contains the vitamin folic acid directly in its active form methylfolate (methyl folate). It can be used directly by the body, without having to be converted into another form.
Folic acid is essential before conception and during pregnancy for the development of uterine tissues and the smooth development of the fetus. Avoid low levels that are a risk factor for damage to the neural tube of the developing fetus, taking 400 μg per day. In addition, it plays an important role in normal hematopoiesis, cell division and the maintenance of normal homocysteine. *
