Ιnfant's - child's skin is more vulnerable and sensitive than the skin of an adult.
How do we choose the right children's sunscreen?
- Control the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) index. For children, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends the use of sunscreen with SPF30 or higher. For example, a baby sunscreen with SPF50 protection index has 50 times stronger sun protection than the skin's natural defenses.
- Choose a sunscreen that protects from UVA-UVB rays. These sunscreens are labeled "broad-spectrum" on their packaging.
- Pay attention to the composition of the children's sunscreen. A hypoallergenic composition, without dyes, will immediately soothe the child's skin, while reducing the risk of allergies.
- Choose a product that is long-term stability and water-resistant for long-term protection.
- Look at the expiration date. A sunscreen without an expiration date lasts about 3 years. Of course, its shelf life is shorter if exposed to high temperatures.
