Chios mastic is the resinous secretion from the mastic tree, an evergreen shrub that thrives exclusively in southern Chios, Greece. It is a natural aromatic resin, which has been known since antiquity for its beneficial properties. The European Medicines Agency (EMA), and the Committee for Herbal Medicines (HMPC), have approved the use of mastic as a traditional herbal remedy to treat the symptoms of mild digestive disorders.
L-glutamine is the amino acid with the highest concentration in the human body, participating in many metabolic processes. It is produced mainly in the muscles and is distributed through the bloodstream to the necessary organs, such as the intestine.
Zinc contributes to the normal metabolism of macronutrients, such as carbohydrates and fatty acids and also protects cells from oxidative stress *.
