Doctor's Formulas Vitamin D3 5000 IU is a dietary supplement that contains the valuable fat-soluble vitamin D in the active form of cholecalciferol, which is highly absorbable & bioavailable.
Vitamin D helps maintain normal blood calcium levels, normal immune system function, normal bone & tooth condition, normal calcium & phosphorus absorption/utilization, normal muscle function, while it also contributes to the process of cell division & specialization *
In addition, vitamin D helps reduce the risk of falls associated with body instability and muscle weakness. Falls are a risk factor for bone fractures in men and women aged 60 and over.
Dosage
Adults: 1 softgel daily.
Instructions of use
Preferably to be taken with a meal.
Contraindications
Not to be used in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients contained.
Side effects
At doses greater than 10.000 IU per day, diarrhea or constipation, decreased appetite, dry mouth and metallic taste may occur.
Cautions
Taking vitamin D supplements> 4000 IU is recommended to be accompanied by monitoring of blood calcium levels, as there is a risk of causing hypercalcaemia.
Storage
Keep the product in a dry, cool place up to 25°C (77°F), and protect it from light. Inappropriate storage conditions, such as prolonged exposure to sunlight, high temperature, humidity, and freezing conditions, may result in alterations to the product.
