Lamberts Eyewise High Strength Lutein 20 mg is a nutritional supplement for maintaining eye health and vision, with lutein and titrated extracts of bilberry, red grape seeds and blackberry.
Lutein is a yellow carotenoid that is not made by the body and therefore must be taken through diet or supplements. Like all carotenoids, lutein is a powerful antioxidant. This biological role is particularly important, as lutein is found in high concentrations in the macula. Lutein, zeaxanthin and red grape seed extract protect against the harmful effects of free radicals & ultraviolet radiation.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Plant Medicines Agency (HMPC) have approved the use of bilberry as a traditional herbal remedy for mild circulatory symptoms associated with capillaries. It thus offers better perfusion to the capillaries of the eye.
Vitamin B2 and zinc help maintain normal vision. *
