Physis & Ideas Oreganic Plus Mastic is a nutritional supplement with organic oils of Greek oregano and Chios mastic for the digestive-gastrointestinal tract and for natural protection against viruses, fungi, bacteria, inflammation and infections. It contains an appropriate dose of organic essential oil from selected and biologically certified Greek oregano of the genus origanum vulgare spp hirtum as well as essential oil of selected Greek mastic from resin of the Pistacia lentiscus var Chia tree and organic extra virgin Greek olive oil.
Distillation is done exclusively by steam without the use of solvents or other chemicals and is certified by an official certification body for organic products recognized by the European Union.
Organic Greek oregano essential oil has a particularly high percentage of carvacrol (greater than 80%) while thymol content is low (less than 3.5%), in order to make the ratio of phenolic components (carvacrol and thymol) safe and effective.
Chios mastic is the resinous secretion from the mastic tree, an evergreen shrub that thrives exclusively in southern Chios, Greece. It is a natural aromatic resin, which has been known since antiquity for its beneficial properties. The European Medicines Agency (EMA), and the Committee for Herbal Medicines (HMPC), have approved the use of mastic as a traditional herbal remedy to treat the symptoms of mild digestive disorders.
