Lamberts Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Boulardii is a dietary supplement with probiotic strains of Cerevisiae Boulardii, for bowel health. Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Boulardii contains 6 billion living active lyophilized yeasts, per capsule.Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Boulardii has been used in a variety of clinical studies.
Lamberts® uses specialized procedures to ensure that microorganisms stay alive in their packaging. The special tube we use contains a desiccant that removes any trace of moisture from the capsules. This ensures the viability of executives until their expiry date.
After swallowing the capsule, it is vital to ensure that the microorganisms survive their passage through the stomach. Stomach acids are the first line of defense against pathogenic bacteria and fungi by destroying them through their acidic ph. To minimize the effect of gastric acid, yeast Saccharomyces Boulardii are dried at high temperatures and surrounded by an acidic coating (polysaccharide matrix). This cover protects the dough from the acidic pH of the stomach, increasing its chances of survival by up to 50 times, which translates into an increased number of yeasts colonizing the small intestine.
