Solgar's Chilldren's Chewable DHA Nutrition Supplement contains pure natural cold-pressed fish oil and high concentration of DHA and EPA omega-3 fatty acids (BioPureDHA). It is of high purity and free of dioxins and heavy metals.
DHA belongs to the class of omega-3 fatty acids and is a basic structural component of the brain and retina of the eye. The brain is composed of 60% fatty acids, with the most common fatty acid in the brain being DHA. DHA is one of the key building blocks required for the smooth development of the brain and eyes in the first critical stages of human development and is considered necessary during this age and until adulthood.
