Lamberts Natural Beta Carotene is a dietary supplement of beta-carotene, a precursor to vitamin A. Beta-carotene is one of the most important pigments in plants and is found throughout the plant kingdom. It belongs to the carotenoid family and when taken orally is a precursor of Vitamin A. For this reason it is often referred to as "provitamin A". The conversion of beta-carotene to vitamin A takes place in the liver, kidneys and intestinal mucosa, depending on the physiological needs of the body.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids that have powerful antioxidant properties. In addition, they help preserve vision and prevent macular degeneration.
The beta-carotene in the Natural Beta Carotene of Lamberts is extracted in its natural form from Dunaliella Salina, which is a pink seaweed found on the surface of sea lakes and contains small amounts of other carotenoids. Growth of the organism takes place in aquatic environments with high salt content, which helps prevent infection by pathogenic microorganisms.
Vitamin A contributes to the normal metabolism of iron, to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes, to the maintenance of healthy skin, to the maintenance of normal vision, and to the proper functioning of the immune system. *
Dosage
1-2 capsules daily.

Preferably to be taken with meals.
Contraindications
It should not be taken by chronic smokers.
