Uni-Pharma D3 fix 1200 IU + K2 45 micrograms is a dietary supplement containing a combination of vitamins K-2 and D-3 to maintain bone health and normal clotting.
Vitamin K-2 works in synergy with vitamin D-3. K-2 plays an important role in bone health because it helps to pass calcium to bones and prevents it from remaining in the arteries, so as not to create calcite and atherosclerosis, thus reducing the chance of cardiovascular events.
Vitamin D-3 helps the body absorb more calcium. Deficiency of vitamin D-3 causes problems in calcium metabolism, leading to loss of bone mass, increased likelihood of fractures and osteomalacia.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal use of calcium and phosphorus in the bone, tooth and muscle physiology, to the normal functioning of the immune system, to the process of cell division. *
Vitamin K contributes to normal bone status and normal blood clotting. *
Vitamin K2 (MK-4) and Vitamin D3 play an important role in the structure, integrity and maintenance of healthy bones and are required for blood clotting. Menacinone (MK4) is an extremely bioavailable form of vitamin K2 and supports cardiovascular and bone health. Vitamin D3 contributes to the normal absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus in the body and plays a crucial role in bone formation and mineralization to help develop strong healthy bones and teeth.
