Information - Body Sunscreens
The sun is to blame for many problems on our skin. The best advice to avoid sun damage is to apply body sunscreen regularly.
The SPF (Sun Protection Factor) index is an extremely important factor when choosing a sunscreen. SPF is a measure of the degree of protection against UVB rays. In other words, it shows how long you can stay in the sun without blushing. For example, assuming that with your skin type you can stay in the sun for 15 minutes without a problem, applying a sunscreen with SPF 15 will allow you to stay in the sun 15 times longer (three hours and three quarters, ie 15 x 15 minutes) without blushing.
Of course, it is equally important to protect yourself from UVA radiation. Body sunscreens that protect against both UVB and UVA rays are known as "broad spectrum" because of the protection filters they have.
There are sunscreens for the body in the form of:
- Cream
- Gel
- Lotion
- Emulsion
- Water
- Oil
