Solgar's Skin, Nails & Hair formula is designed to provide the body with vitamins, minerals, trace elements and amino acids that support and enhance the production of collagen and keratin, essential ingredients for skin, nails and hair. Contains a number of active ingredients such as:
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): is a vitamin with powerful antioxidant and anti-aging action that helps the skin resist UV, and collagen synthesis. Zinc (citrate) is a key ingredient in maintaining skin and hair health. It reduces the wear and tear of skin cells that age, acts as a protective and therapeutic against acne and rosaceous dermatitis, and soothes sensitive scalp, strengthening hair from the root. Copper (gluconate) copper peptides have the ability to repair skin imperfections, discolorations and wrinkles caused by age. In addition, it slows down the "graying" of hair.
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for normal skin function and to protect cells from oxidative stress. Zinc helps maintain normal hair, skin and nails. Organic sulfur (MSM - methylsulfonylmethane) strengthens the connective tissue of nails, hair and skin and also has antioxidant properties. Silicon (red algae silicon) is very helpful in cases of brittle nails or hair but also for dull skin. It replaces all the essential trace elements needed for strong nails, hair and glowing skin. L-Proline is a non-essential amino acid that works in synergy with Vitamin C for the synthesis of collagen and keratin. Strengthens hair, nails and prevents skin wrinkles.
