Nutricia Almiron 1 AR is a special milk for the dietary treatment of gastroesophageal reflux in infants. It is suitable from birth.
It has a higher viscosity thanks to Locust Bean Gum, a natural carob thickening agent that makes milk viscous without affecting the absorption of vitamins and minerals contained.
Almiron AR should be used on medical advice and under medical supervision. It is indicated as an exclusive source of nutrition from birth and as part of a mixed diet after the 6th month.
Breast milk is the ideal food for babies. Exclusive breastfeeding during the first half year of life is ideal for your baby. When breastfeeding is not possible or not enough, consult your pediatrician about including infant formula in your baby's diet. Starting a bottle-feeding diet can have a negative effect on breastfeeding.
Dosage
See the table with the recommended dosage of powder and water, depending on the age of the baby.
In case of a different recommendation from the pediatrician, follow the doctor's instructions.
Instructions of use
1. Wash your hands thoroughly and sterilize utensils according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Boil fresh water, let it cool until its temperature reaches 40°C and add the correct amount (consult the nutrition table) into the sterile baby bottle. Do not use reboiled water.
3. Use only the measuring scoop in the box.
4. Add the correct amount of powder to the water. Close the bottle and shake well (for 10 seconds) until the powder dissolves.
5. Check the temperature of the milk on your wrist before feeding.
Due to its thickness:
- the milk should always be prepared before the meal and not earlier.
- use a different breast pump.
Contraindications
Not suitable for premature babies.
Contains allergens: milk, fish, soy.
Sometimes infant formulas are not suitable in case of lactose intolerance.
Constant contact of the teeth with liquids high in carbohydrates can cause tooth decay.
Cautions
Make sure the lid of the product is clean.
Follow the preparation instructions closely.
Ready milk should be consumed within 2 hours.
Leftover milk should not be consumed.
Do not heat ready-made milk in a microwave oven (risk of overheating).
Once the box is opened, its contents should be consumed within 30 days.
Take care of the health of your baby's teeth, starting with the first teeth, especially before bedtime.
The product should be well sealed and stored in a dry, clean and cool environment (maximum temperature 25°C).
Do not put the product in the refrigerator.
Storage
Keep the product in a dry, cool place up to 25°C (77°F), and protect it from light. Inappropriate storage conditions, such as prolonged exposure to sunlight, high temperature, humidity, and freezing conditions, may result in alterations to the product.
Keep out of reach of children.
