Contraindications
If you have multiple sclerosis, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, do not take Panax ginseng. Panax ginseng contains chemicals called ginsenosides, which act like estrogen. If you have any condition that may be aggravated by the presence of estrogen, avoid using Panax ginseng. High doses of Panax ginseng have been linked to insomnia and cause arousal in people with schizophrenia. If you are taking estrogen pills, antihypertensives, antidiabetics or drugs that are metabolized by the liver, consult your doctor.
Cautions
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, on medication or have health problems. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Keep in a cool and dry environment.
