The Natural Doctor Clear Omega 3 dietary supplement contains high quality omega 3 EPA and DHA high quality fish oil. It is produced from small fish (Peruvian anchovies) that are free from heavy metals. They come from sustainable fishing sources and have been certified by the international organization "Friends of the Sea".
What is Omega 3? Omega 3 belongs to the category of polyunsaturated fatty acids. They are essential fatty acids as they cannot be synthesized by the body itself. Omega 3 include EPA or eicosapentaenoic acid and DHA or docosahexaenoic acid. They are found in many fish but also in nuts, flax seed, seeds, and in algae. Adequate intake through diet is often not possible.
According to European Regulation 432/2012 by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA):
- EPA & DHA 250 mg a day help normalize heart function
- 3 grams of EPA & DHA a day helps maintain normal blood pressure
- 2 grams of EPA & DHA a day helps maintain normal triglyceride levels
- 250 mg DHA per day helps normal brain function and maintain normal vision
- 200 mg of DHA a day helps normalize the development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and infants*

Contraindications
EPA lowers blood pressure by increasing the effect of antihypertensive drugs. In addition, it is contraindicated in concomitant administration of anticoagulant therapy. In addition, studies have shown that fish oils reduce the effects of birth control pills.
Side effects
People with shellfish and fish allergies are more likely to be allergic to omega 3 fatty acid supplements.
