Lamberts Energy Drink Orange is an energy drink for athletes with carbohydrates, electrolytes and vitamin C. Contains:
- long and medium chain compound carbohydrates to provide energy to the body and prevent muscle glycogen depletion during exercise
- electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium, chlorine, phosphorus and magnesium) to replenish electrolytes lost through sweating.
- Vitamin C that contributes to metabolism activation and normal immune function during vigorous exercise. It also helps reduce the fatigue that accompanies intense workout programs.
Muscle glycogen is one of the main sources of energy during exercise. The depletion of muscle glycogen stores is accompanied by the onset of breakdown of muscle tissue proteins into the individual amino acids to ensure that the energy needs associated with exercise are met, leading to myalgia and fatigue. Replacing it at the end of the exercise is paramount as it largely determines one's endurance in the exercise.
Carbohydrates are the key building block of glycogen. Energy drinks are ideal as a "recovery drink" before and during training. It helps restore the body's glycogen stores while simultaneously supplying the body with energy. It also replaces lost electrolytes to help restore fluid balance immediately.
Lamberts Energy Drink can be obtained from:
- before and during exercise ensuring energy supply to the body, preventing muscle glycogen depletion and replenishing electrolytes.
- after exercise to treat fatigue (restoring muscle glycogen and electrolyte levels).
Dosage
Mix two slightly heaped scoops (50g) with 500ml (1 pint) of cold water.
Instructions of use
This product is ideal after intense workouts. It can also be taken before training or during prolonged exercise. Up to 4 servings can be taken per day.Once mixed, keep chilled and consume within 3 hours.

Do not take if pregnant or breast feeding.
