L-Mesitran Ointment is a hydroactive ointment with active ingredient medical honey at a rate of 48% for the healing of wounds and ulcers.
It has a thick texture and offers antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action. It consists of natural active ingredients that enhance the advanced medical technology L-Mesitran®.
In its composition it contains:
- Vitamin C which promotes the synthesis of collagen and connective tissues.
- Vitamin E which has strong anti-inflammatory, immune properties. Strengthens the healing process.
- Hypoallergenic lanolin that promotes wound epithelialization.
- Sunflower oil, which protects against infections, promotes angiogenesis.
- Cod liver oil to enhance wound oxygenation by promoting angiogenesis and healing.
- Calendula Officinalis which has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and healing properties.
- Aloe Barbadensis for reducing swelling and pain.
- Zinc oxide (<1%) with antimicrobial properties.
- pH: +/- 5-6 which promotes healing.
Ointment ointment is suitable for:
- Healing of ulcers and wounds superficial or deep, infected or foul-smelling, with watery cell necrosis or necrotic grilles.
- Healing of 1st to 4th degree ulcers as well as fistulas.
- Healing of diabetic ulcers on non-sensitive skin areas.
- Healing of postoperative wounds, infected or not, graft removal areas, tracheostomies, etc.
- Treatment of foot fungal infections.
- Healing of infants and adults.
Instructions of use
It is recommended to clean the ulcer with saline before each change, especially in infected ulcers.
It is always accompanied by a secondary absorbent pad, e.g. gauze, foam, non woven, mesh etc.
Applying the ointment to the ulcer should completely cover both the inner surface of the ulcer to a thickness of about 1mm and its skin contour.
Completion of the ulcer cleansing phase may be accompanied by increased lymph flow from the ulcer base which marks the natural restoration of perfusion and the onset of angiogenesis and should not be considered a concern. Until the completion of the cleansing and healing phase of the ulcer from possible infection, a daily change is suggested.
During the next stage and until complete recovery, the indicated retention time of the product in the ulcer is determined in 1-3 days depending on the condition of the ulcer.
VitaTip
In case of prolonged burning sensation (stinging) in the ulcer during the application of Ointment ointment, the option of using So α ointment is recommended.
In superficial skin ulcers of sensitive areas (venous, arterial, varicose, burns, etc.) the use of L-Mesitran® Soft and 10cm X 10cm coverage pads is preferred.

Cautions
The product has no effect on blood glucose levels and does not penetrate the wound.
