How does it work TaniGO®?
TaniGO® contains macrogol 4000, an osmotic laxative also known as polyethylene glycol (PEG). Macrogol 4000 retains water in the stool. Softens hard stools and increases their volume. This speeds up intestinal transit and facilitates emptying, giving a sense of natural relief. Macrogol 4000 is not absorbed by the body and is eliminated unchanged.
TaniGO®:
- It can be taken during pregnancy and lactation.
- It contains no sugar and is suitable for diabetics.
- It contains no sodium and is suitable for patients following a diet poor in sodium.
Dosage
For adults: 1 to 2 sachets a day.
For children 8 years and older: Start with 1 sachet every two days. 2 sachets per day maximum. For children from 8 to 12 years, it is recommended that you seek medical advice.
The daily dose can be adjusted as needed.
Instructions of use
The contents can be consumed directly from the sachet or with a glass of water. Each sachet should be consumed immediately after opening. It is recommended that you take TaniGO at a dose in the morning. TaniGO® usually works within 24 to 48 hours.
Contraindications
It should not be used in the following cases:
- Allergy (hypersensitivity) to macrogol 4000 (polyethylene glycol or PEG) or to any of the other ingredients.
- Severe bowel disease such as: Inflammation of the bowel (such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease) or abnormal bowel enlargement (toxic large), Bowel perforation or risk of bowel perforation (a hole in the intestinal wall), Obstruction or obstruction bowel (ileus or suspicion of bowel obstruction or bowel obstruction symptoms), Abdominal pain of unknown etiology.
Cautions
The maximum duration of treatment should not exceed 15 days. TaniGO® should not be used daily for an extended period of time without diagnosing the cause of constipation. In case of persistent abdominal pain you should consult your doctor.
Particular caution is recommended for patients:
- Elderly
- With reduced renal or hepatic function,
- Those on diuretics (drugs that increase diuretics) because they are likely to notice a decrease in the levels of sodium (salt) or potassium in the blood.
In case of diarrhea, the use of taniGO® should be discontinued. You should get hydrated and contact a doctor or pharmacist. As with all laxatives, the possibility of some organic disorder must be ruled out before taking TaniGO®.

Storage
Keep the product in a dry, cool place up to 25°C (77°F), and protect it from light. Inappropriate storage conditions, such as prolonged exposure to sunlight, high temperature, humidity, and freezing conditions, may result in alterations to the product.
