Lamberts Pycnogenol is a standardized dietary supplement with Maritime pine bark extract. Its main constituent is the pro-anthocyanidins, which belong to the flavonoid class.
The first scientist to research the biological effects of Pycnogenol was Dr.Jack Masquelier of Bordeaux University in France. His research began after studying some historical reports on an unknown ingredient derived from the Maritime Pine bark used for the treatment of scorbutus and focused on the naturally produced pro-anthocyanidins of Pycnogenol and their antioxidant properties. Studies have shown that Pycnogenol has potent antioxidant properties similar to those of vitamins C and E.*
In addition, it has been shown to reduce the incidence of lower extremity edema, especially in patients with chronic venous insufficiency. Studies indicate its beneficial effect, especially when combined with L-arginine, while at the same time it seems to strengthen the immune system, combating erectile dysfunction. *

Dosage
1 capsule daily.

Preferably to be taken with a meal.
Contraindications
Do not take during pregnancy and lactation, as well as from immunocompromised individuals.
