Lamberts Betaine HCL Pepsin is a dietary supplement with pepsin to restore reduced stomach acidity and better digestion of foods.
Taking betaine hydrochloride supplements (betaine HCL) seems to work better in conditions of hypochlorhydria, lowering the pH of the stomach, thus increasing its acidity and enhancing functions such as digestion. *
A decrease in the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach is common with age. This results in poor feed degradation and incomplete digestion. Hydrochloric acid also sterilizes food after ingestion and contributes to the absorption of vitamin B12. The dietary supplement Lamberts Betaine HCL Pepsin activates a protease, pepsin, which restores normal levels of hydrochloric acid production and helps the digestion of food in the stomach. *

Contraindications
It should not be taken by children. Its use is contraindicated by people suffering from stomach and duodenal ulcer or suspected of having it.
