Nature's Plus Milk Thistle is a titrated nutritional supplement with the herb thistle. The main active ingredient of thistle is Silymarin, it is the active ingredient from the fruit of Silybummarianum.
Silymarin is made up of three subunits, Silybin, Silidanin, and Silicristin, which belong to the flavonolignans, the most important of which seems to be Silybin.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Committee for Herbal Medicines (HMPC) have approved the use of thistle as a traditional herbal remedy for the symptomatic relief of indigestion, bloating, indigestion of the liver.

Contraindications
Thistle may affect the absorption of anticoagulants, anxiolytics, antidepressants and cholesterol medications. If you are allergic to daisies, marigolds, chrysanthemums it is best to avoid taking a dietary supplement with thistle.
Side effects
Gastrointestinal disorders such as flatulence and diarrhea have been reported rarely.
