The artichoke is a vegetable found in the Mediterranean and belongs to the Asteraceae family. It has significant nutritional value and is rich in nutrients, fiber, B vitamins, vitamin C and magnesium.

People with a history of cholestasis, gallstones, liver or kidney disease should avoid supplemental intake. To be used with caution by diabetics, as it may cause hypoglycemia. Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
