The dietary supplement Solgar Vitamin D3 contains vitamin D in the active form of cholecalciferol. Vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol is a form similar to that produced in the body by sun exposure, and is therefore more absorbable.
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, essential for calcium absorption and for maintaining bone and teeth health. Vitamin D is also important for strengthening the immune system and the function of the nerves and muscles in the body.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption / utilization of calcium and phosphorus, to normal blood calcium levels, to maintaining normal bones, to maintaining normal muscle function, to maintaining normal dentition, to normal functioning of the immune system, has a role in the process of cell division. *
Vitamin D helps reduce the risk of falls associated with body instability and muscle weakness. Falling is a risk factor for bone fractures among men and women 60 years of age or older.
Dosage
1 tablet daily.
Instructions of use
Preferably to be taken with meals.
Contraindications
Taking Vitamin D supplements with> 4000IU is recommended to be accompanied by monitoring of blood calcium levels, as there is a risk of causing hypercalcaemia.
Side effects
If you take doses greater than 10,000 IU per day, you may experience diarrhea or constipation as a side effect, decreased appetite, dry mouth and a metallic taste.
Storage
Keep the product in a dry, cool place up to 25°C (77°F), and protect it from light. Inappropriate storage conditions, such as prolonged exposure to sunlight, high temperature, humidity, and freezing conditions, may result in alterations to the product.
