Solgar's Vitamin C 1000 mg dietary supplement provides Vitamin C, a vitamin that is involved in a variety of body functions.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant vitamin necessary for the health of the body and especially important for maintaining healthy skin. It is also essential for the effective functioning of the immune system.
The main functions of Vitamin C are to maintain collagen, ligaments, bones, teeth and strengthen the walls of blood vessels and gums. It plays an important role in the absorption of iron necessary for the formation of red blood cells, as well as in the utilization of folic acid. Provides strong antioxidant protection against harmful free radicals and enhances the action of vitamin E.
Vitamin C contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal nervous system function, normal psychological function, reduce fatigue, maintaining normal immune function during and after intense physical activity.*

1 capsule daily.
Instructions of use
Preferably to be taken with meals.
Contraindications
The use of very high doses (above 2000mg), is contraindicated in people with kidney problems.
Side effects
At doses greater than 2000mg per day and if used for more than 1 year, side effects such as diarrhea, nausea and oxalate kidney stones may occur.
