Doctor's Formulas Lactofer Iron Formula is a dietary supplement containing iron, lactoferrin, copper and vitamins C, B9 (folic acid) and B12. It contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells, hemoglobin and normal hematopoiesis. It also helps in the normal transport of oxygen and in reducing fatigue and tiredness. *
The absorption of iron is facilitated by the presence of lactoferrin, and vitamin C. The iron in the supplement, thanks to microencapsulation technology, micro2 [microencapsulated & micronized mineral salts] by Dr. Paul Lohmann, ensures smaller particle size (d90: about 300 μM), improved functionality and bioavailability. Through a uniquely developed coating process, the metal salts are covered with a layer of vegetable fat.
Thanks to this integration technology, metallic salts retain their natural properties and offer significant advantages, making sulfur iron, which is very active, bioavailable.
This eliminates the unpleasant discomfort of iron, such as a strong metallic taste, while there is improved flow, dose control and stomach tolerance, due to the controlled release of the metal within the digestive system.
Lactoferrin (LF) is a multifunctional protein in the transferrin family.

Dosage
1 capsule daily.
Contraindications
If you are taking antacids, calcium, copper or thyroid medications, you should take the iron supplement at least 3 hours apart. Consumption of coffee and green tea should also be avoided as it may significantly reduce its absorption.
Side effects
The most common side effects include upset stomach, constipation or diarrhea.
Storage
Keep the product in a dry, cool place up to 25°C (77°F), and protect it from light. Inappropriate storage conditions, such as prolonged exposure to sunlight, high temperature, humidity, and freezing conditions, may result in alterations to the product.
