Ducray Kelual DS is a treatment shampoo for severe relapsing exfoliating scalp conditions associated with redness and itching, such as seborrheic dermatitis.
Seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp is characterized by quite thick, greasy dandruff and red plaques associated with severe itching. These clinical signs on the scalp may also be seen on the face and body. In this case, the most annoying symptom is the redness associated with the thin scaly plaques. Although not a serious condition, its chronic growth and high visibility can negatively affect quality of life.
Three things indicate the existence of seborrheic dermatitis: excessive sebum, which leads to the proliferation of a certain yeast/fungus (Malassezia) which in turn causes inflammation.
Thanks to its combination of active ingredients, Kelual DS shampoo reduces scales, delays their reappearance and soothes irritated and damaged scalp.
In particular, β-glycyrrhetinic acid soothes itching and redness.
The combination of ciclopirox olamine + pyrithione zinc limits the proliferation of Malassezia, which are fungi involved in exfoliative conditions. In fact, they provide long-lasting purifying actions.
Finally, Keluamid has a keratolytic effect on the surface of the skin, reducing stuck scales and simultaneously cleansing the scalp.
