Zein Pharma Egyptian Black Cumin Oil (Agyptisches Shwarouchmelol) is a nutritional supplement that contains black marigold oil from the Egyptian Nigella Sativa plant.
Black cumin contains many active ingredients like thymokinone, carvacrol, thymol but also many antioxidant phenols and terpenoids. Polyunsaturated omega 6 linolenic and monounsaturated oleic acid are fatty acids with the highest content of black cumin oil. It also contains plant sterols such as stigmasterol and α-sitosterol.
Black cumin oil is used to treat many symptoms of the respiratory system while having antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunostimulatory effects. Due to its high content of powerful antioxidants, it protects the cell membranes from the action of harmful free radicals and further increases the action of glutathione that protects the tissues from aging. It is particularly helpful in cases of allergic rhinitis due to the nigelone substance it contains. It also reduces inflammation in irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis. Taking black cumin has anticonvulsant action in cases of bronchitis and asthma. It reduces cough and bronchospasm.
