Stretch marks are one of the most common dermatological problems, In recent years, many dermocosmetic products have exploited the power of nature, helping to reduce or even eliminate stretch marks.

What are stretch marks?

Stretch marks are scratches of the skin and in particular of the middle layers (dermis), resulting from sudden changes in weight or height. They result from changes in the composition of the collagen of the epidermis. At first, stretch marks are red or purple and then become white. The reason is that with the breakdown of the skin, small blood vessels of lower layers are visible to the eye. Gradually, blood vessels recede and thus stretch marks turn into white streaks.

Common causes of stretch marks are:

  • Sudden weight gain
  • Height rise cutout
  • Pregnancy
  • Bad nutrition

How to use them

Create your own household blend of essential oils to tackle stretch marks. Massage in the areas most in need. Dilute 5 to 10 drops of essential oils in 1 tablespoon of cream or base oil (eg coconut, rapeseed oil, olive oil, cocoa butter and almond oil). Due to the fact that essential oils have very high concentrations, dilution is a prerequisite. Rub the mixture on the stretch marks until it is fully absorbed.
