How do I take care of my skin in autumn?

7 steps to take care of our skin in the fall

1. Effectively cleanse your skin

The process of washing thoroughly every morning and evening is very important, in order to remove air pollutants, make-up residues, sebum and oiliness from the face. Choose the right cleanser based on your skin type and use it consistently, so that you have a perfect, clean skin, which can accept the other products that will follow.

After your cleanser, do not forget to use a toning lotion:

Depending on your skin type, it will help your skin to receive the moisturizing products that will follow. For example, if you have oily skin, the toning lotion you choose should shrink pore size and reduce oiliness. Conversely, if you have normal or dry skin, your toning lotion should have moisturizing ingredients to give the face nourishment and hydration.

2. Moisturize your skin

Autumn is the perfect season to deeply moisturize our skin! Usually, our skin has increased needs for moisture, which is why it needs richer and more nourishing textures.

If you feel that your skin “pulls” after cleansing or during the day, choose a richer texture in your day cream and / or night cream. Alternatively, you can use a moisturizing serum before your cream to give you the extra hydration you need.

As it is known, the skin after exfoliation (mechanical or chemical) is more sensitive to the sun, for this it needs special attention, as well as sun protection in the following days.

Experts recommend exfoliating at night, so that the skin has the opportunity during the night and sleep to regain its moisture, but also not to be exposed to direct sunlight. You can use a grain exfoliator (mechanical exfoliation), or with ingredients that do chemical exfoliation (such as salicylic acid, AHAs and BHAs).

4. Use sunscreen all year round

The use of our winter-summer sunscreen is essential, as our skin is exposed to sunlight all year round. Choose a sunscreen with a high or very high protection index and a thin texture or sunscreen with color, so that you have a perfect and uniform canvas for your makeup.

In addition, our skin is daily exposed to the blue radiation emitted by screens (mobile phones, computers and tablets), as experts point out. For this reason, our daily use of sunscreen is important to prevent premature aging.

5. Multimasking: Apply different beauty masks

Apply different beauty masks on your face, depending on your needs. If you have oil in the T-zone and you feel more dry on the cheeks, you can apply separate masks, so that each one gives your skin exactly what it needs.

The evening is the perfect time to try multimasking! This is due to the fact that, during sleep, the skin has the ability to better absorb the nutrients of the products.

Look for beauty masks with ingredients such as: hyaluronic acid, linoleic acid, vitamins A, C & E. These ingredients help hydrate dehydrated skin, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and make the dull look more radiant.

6. Skin layering: The perfect time to try it

This is a modern trend in the field of beauty, which protects the application of many skin care products, one after the other. What you need to remember is that we always start with the thinnest texture and continue with the thickest.
