Scars: how to face them!

Scars are malformation of the skin due to some injury. More specifically are collagen fibers created to heal the wound. They divided into hypertrophic scars and keloids.

Hypertrophic scars

These scars are created due to the injury; they are red and can be reduced in time with the use of special skin products.

Keloids

These are hypertrophic scars that spread around the injury. They are red or purple and cannot improve over time. They may have psychological impact.

The reasons vary, and may be a burn, cuts, scrapes, piercing, acne even chickenpox.

Products that can help are:

  • Silicone sheets
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin A
  • Allantoin: it has keratolytic, emollient and healing properties.
  • Palmitic acid
  • Hyoscyamus oil
  • Symphytum officinalis
