Athanasios Karamountzos

MD.MSc Gastroenterologist – Hepatologist – Endoscopic Surgeon

Born in 1976, Mr. Athanasios Karamountzos graduated from the Athens Medical School in 2000.
From 2001 to 2002 he worked as a Rural Practitioner in Corinth and later served as a unit physician in his military service. He specialized in Pathology Clinic at KAT Hospital from 2004 to 2006 and then worked for 3 years in the Health Kidney Unit of the hospital. He completed his Gastroenterology specialty in 2013 at the NITS Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic.

In 2010 he completed a postgraduate course at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and received a Master of Science (MSc) Degree. In recent years, he has been constantly updated on the latest developments in medicine while attending gastrointestinal conferences all the time.
He is a member of the Hellenic Gastroenterology Society and the Hellenic Society of Hepatology Studies. He is of particular scientific interest in invasive endoscopy.
He speaks English and French.
