The Solgar No-Flush Niacin diet supplement contains vitamin B3 or inositol-bound niacin. Niacin participates in many metabolic processes and can help mildly reduce elevated levels of cholesterol and triglycerides while promoting increased HDL cholesterol. It does not cause symptoms such as rashes and itching that can be caused by taking individual niacin (nicotinic acid). Combination with inositol is beneficial to the nervous system and to the liver.

Contraindications
People taking anticoagulants and medication for high cholesterol as well as diabetes should get a medical evaluation before using a Niacin supplement. In addition, it is contraindicated in people with peptic ulcer, because there is a risk of worsening.
Side effects
