Health Aid Beta Carotene is a diet supplement with beta carotene from seaweed (Dunaliella salina), which is collected from ocean and lake waters in combination with other natural carotenoids, such as Zeaxanthin, Cryptoxanthine, Lutein and Ka. It is a precursor of vitamin A and is converted into vitamin A in the body.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are found in high concentrations in the retina and macula. They reduce oxidative stress, acting as a filter of sunlight, thus contributing to eye health. Studies also show that they improve some of the symptoms of macular degeneration and reduce the risk of cataracts.
Vitamin A helps maintain eye and skin health. Also supports the immune system. *
It also has antioxidant activity and neutralizes oxygen free radical molecules.
Dosage
1 capsule daily.
Instructions of use
Preferably to be taken after meals.
Contraindications
Beta carotene should not be taken by heavy smokers and pregnant women.
