Contraindications
Red clover could increase the chance of bleeding. If you are taking anticoagulants or have a condition that may be aggravated by exposure to estrogen, it is not recommended. If you are taking estrogen pills, red clover may reduce their effect. In addition, there is some concern about the increased risk of blood clots in patients with protein S deficiency. Consult your doctor if you are taking medicines that are damaged or metabolized by the liver.
