Lamberts Digestizyme is a nutritional formula of vegetable enzymes that help in the process of digestion of foods and specifically fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
Digestive enzymes are produced in the gastrointestinal tract and contribute to the degradation of foods in individual nutrients. Subsequently, the micronutrients are absorbed by the intestinal walls and enter the circulation. The abnormal production and function of digestive enzymes is accompanied by inadequate absorption of essential micronutrients. Non-absorbed food residues remain in the colon of the colon, fermented by intestinal flora bacteria causing gas production, bloating and diarrhea. Normal production of digestive enzymes decreases during both normal aging and in periods of illness.
Contains amylase that breaks down carbohydrates and food glycogen into simple sugars, lipase that breaks down fats into fatty acids, protease that breaks down proteins, cellulose that breaks down cellulose.
The benefit of plant-based enzymes contained in Digestizyme is that they are characterized by high bioavailability and a significantly reduced likelihood of causing hypersensitivity reactions and gastrointestinal disorders. The Digestizyme formulation contains encapsulated enzymes to protect them from gastric acidity, thus reaching the small intestine where most of the digestion occurs.

1-3 capsules daily.
