Lamberts Plant Sterols is a dietary supplement of phytosterols. Vegetable sterols are found in vegetable oils and cereals, and their consumption helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels *.
The mechanism of action of plant sterols in lipid metabolism is as follows: plant sterols have a similar chemical structure to cholesterol, affecting its reabsorption by the intestine. Cholesterol is normally excreted in the intestine through bile to aid digestion and is then reabsorbed and enters the bloodstream. Plant sterols compete with cholesterol for its reabsorption by the intestine, thereby reducing its levels even in people following a hypolipidemic diet.
Modern diets are characterized by increasingly lower levels of dietary intake of plant sterols, which is why many foods such as margarine are enriched with plant sterols. These fortified foods help increase your daily intake. Despite this, it is difficult to achieve the desired intake, and often their increased consumption leads to a concomitant increase in calorie intake.
Lamberts Plant Sterols tablets provide 800 mg of phytosterols and can supplement the diet without burdening your daily calorie intake. This dose is equivalent to the dose used in clinical studies to lower blood cholesterol.

1 tablet daily.

Preferably to be taken with a meal.
